INSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATION AWARD

Awarded to THE PROVINCE OF MANITOBA for the A.A. Heaps Building, 254 Portage Avenue, as a fine example of a historic restoration and rehabilitation of the dome, exterior cornice and building face.

COMMERCIAL CONSERVATION AWARD

Awarded to ID FASHION LTD., for the Henderson Block, 332 Bannatyne Avenue, for a rehabilitation project that celebrates the structure and construction of a typical warehouse building of the period.  It is characterized by sensitive intervention and detailing.

COMMERCIAL CONSERVATION AWARD

Awarded to BIRKS INC., FOR BIRKS JEWELERS (in the Union Trust Tower), 191 Lombard Avenue, as an elegant rehabilitation of an original historic banking hall interior.  This project has taken extraordinary measures to retain key historic interior features for the purpose of a compatible contemporary use.
